Gifts-In-Kind Program

In 2004 Caritas became the distribution center for gifts-in-kind products distributed to local and state-wide charities through the Wal-mart Return Center located in Waco. Caritas receives, warehouses and distributes hundreds of thousands of pounds of much needed paper and household items to charitable organizations and food banks serving people in need. Agencies receiving these products are asked to defray Caritas’ costs through a very reasonable handling fee of $.15 per pound. Hundreds of thousands of people receive the benefits of this program.

How can we participate?

We have enclosed an application packet, along with a copy of the rules and regulations.  The application form must be signed by the organization’s director, or authorized congregational leader.  Once the information is provided, we will discuss with you the process to participate in this program.
If you have any questions, please call Carolyn Hurst at 254-753-4593.  This program can provide your agency / congregation with much needed items at a fraction of the cost if purchased at a retail store. These items include primarily, paper products, personal hygiene items, and household goods.
