Thanks and Congratulations

•    To the Beaumont Foundation of America for providing a $50,000 grant to Caritas for the specific purpose of securing food for persons in need.
•    To Grande Communications, who granted $4,000 to Caritas through its Passion & Commitment investment Club.
•    To HEB for allowing Caritas to rescue the ‘leftovers’ from the 2007 Feast of Sharing, so that we could share them with people in need.
•    To the Waco area Lions Clubs for their invaluable service during the Food for Families Food Drive.
•    To KWTX-TV, HEB, the Army national Guard and the Boy Scouts for partnering again in the most successful 18th annual Food for Families Food Drive.
•    To the Gary and Diane Heavins Community Fund for a special end of year gift of $50,000.
•    To the 75+ food producers and distributors, who donated over 1.7 million pounds of food products to the Caritas Food Rescue Program.
•    To the over 20 congregations who have continued to donate staple food items through the Food From the Faithful Program.
•    To Brett Bunce for this dedicated service on the Caritas Board of Directors.
•    To Hank Fielder for se4rving as the President of the Caritas Board of Directors for the past three years.  Hank continues to serve on the Board of Directors.
•    To Phil Adkins and Rabbi Gordon Fuller who serve on the Board of Directors as President and vice-President, respectively during 2008.
•    To Master Foods (M & m Mars) who have donated a 30’x17’x12’ used walk-in cooler, which has been reconstructed/assembled in the Caritas food warehouse.  This cooler will provide much needed fresh vegetables and fruits for its clients.
