Dear Friends of Caritas,
Over the last 47 years, the name of Caritas of Waco has become synonymous with emergency assistance for food, clothing, aid with utilities and other immediate needs experienced by so many families in Waco-McLennan County who live in poverty or otherw ise suffer from severe economic deprivation.
Caritas is not a governmental agency but a private, non-profit organization that relies heavily on donations from the community to continue its work.
The annual "Feast of Caring" provides an important source of funding for Caritas. And this year, the event will feature the Second Annual "Soup Cook Off" which brings hot, tasty soup from twenty of Waco's favorite restaurants to the Waco Convention Center on Tuesday, April 8th.
The "Soup Cook Off" will offer an enjoyable evening of sampling soup (and voting for your favorite with dollars!) and exciting silent and audible auctions.
We invite you to support Caritas by attending the Feast of Caring on Tuesday, April 8th starting at 6 p.m. in the Brazos Room of the Waco Convention Center. This year, tickets to the event are $25 per person and can be obtained online through the "Donate" button shown below (please designate the donation as "Feast of Caring" and the number of tickets you want in the comments section to the seller) or you can call Caritas at 254-753-4593.
If you are unable to attend, but would otherwise like to make a contribution to the Feast of Caring, you can also use the "Donate" button below. Your donation goes a long way in helping Caritas continue its services to people in need in our community.
Your support is critical to Caritas. We depend on local contributions of funds, food and household items to continue our emergency assistance programs Please remember Caritas and help support our mission! Thank you!
