Caritas helps families, individuals, and veterans in need through emergency services and case management programs.
Make A Donation
Caritas is able to provide hope to those in need, due to the generosity of community partners and donors like you. Before the pandemic, 26% of Waco families were living in poverty and unable to meet basic needs. Now, during this unprecedented time, more families than ever before, are needing assistance. Your support helps us provide people with not only hope, but food and other emergency services, and the case management resources needed to help them begin their journey out of poverty. Community Support

Life can bring challenges that feel overwhelming—but you don’t have to face them alone. Our Community Support Program is here to walk alongside you, helping you remove obstacles and take steps toward stability.

When you connect with us, you’ll be paired with a caring Community Support Specialist who will listen to your story, understand your needs, and work with you to create a plan that fits your unique situation. We’ll be here to guide, encourage, and celebrate your progress along the way.

Rental & Utility Assistance

Support to keep your family housed and your essential services running.*

Federal Benefits Assistance

Guidance with applications for programs like SNAP, CHIP, Medicaid, Medicare, and TANF, so you can access the benefits you’re eligible for.

Workforce Development

Free training opportunities, including certifications and skill-building classes, to help you expand your job options and grow in your career.

Current opportunities:

  • Forklift Certification – A free, one-day class where you can learn forklift operation and earn a certification to boost your job opportunities.

Life Skills Training

Classes and resources designed to strengthen everyday skills, such as managing finances, setting goals, and navigating community resources.

Current opportunities:

  • Financial Literacy – Practical, easy-to-understand classes — offered in partnership with local financial institutions — to help you manage money and build lasting stability.
